Ive been a fan of Sleeping With Sirens for quite a while now. They were the first band I saved up money to see. I can't begin to explain the sheer exhilaration I felt while photographing Sleeping With Sirens. This show was more than just my favorite band, it was a humble beginning to this new chapter of my life after ending high school. I think the freshman me would be very happy, and so was I..

This show was more than just my favorite band, it was a humble beginning to this new chapter of my life after ending high school. I think the freshman me would be very happy, and so was I..

I love this shot because it reminds me of punk rock. Also the contrast between the faded violet mixed with lively purple and blue makes me want to dive into this photo. The photo also shows that the joker, just like the rest of us enjoys blowing of steam at rock festivals.

I think this shot speaks for itself, it feels like Woodstock. Greta Van Fleet in more then one way motivated me to do music photography. These young midwestern guys filled with such talent and Karisma. In fact It was their performance that my family and I were driving home from when I said " I wish I could photograph them, I really dig their vibe". To which my mother replied " Their playing Sonic Boom, you should try and get a photo pass"...... I could do that?

After the guys' set ended I started to make my way to the side of the stage, hoping they would be kind enough to pose for a quick shot or two. After Josh stated the final "Thank you Wisconsin" to my surprise they started to head off in the opposite direction. When I began to run to the other side of the stage my Canon 7D slammed to the ground breaking my lens in the process. And thus ended the life of my 55-250mm. It also ended my chances of getting Josh, Danny, Sam or Jake's photo after this killer performance. Damn..

The only shot I got with my 55-250mm.

Sunny Days. I was honestly surprised at the amount of heat this Wisconsin October day produced.

I honestly didn't do anything to photoshop his eyes, he looks possessed by his drums and I think thats the coolest thing. The back of his shirt is lit red like flames, as if he's coming from the underworld to rock your socks off.

This music festival is Marvel and DC approved.

Come to Sonic Boom, they have clowns.

Between the crowd surfers and the bright wave of clouds, I get lost sometimes. As this day comes to an end people are still living their best life. Some thing about music just brings the life out of people.

Ahh yes, this is the concert equivalent of the DMV. If you want to experience the show in the first couple rows, your gonna need to wait a while.

Nick Roberts (October Rage) and my Dad

Guess which is which.

This guy as far as I know was Jacky Vincent's guitar tech.He asked if I took any pictures of him to send them his way. He gave me a guitar pic with his company name on it as a business card. Unfortunately, somewhere in time I lost the pick, so this dude never got the shots. Sorry dude bro, hopefully I'll see you next year.

Jackie Vincent is one of the most underrated guitarists in this genera His skills and talent are such that anyone who happens across his work is sure to have their socks blown off.

There's nothing better as a music photographer then when the musician plays to you. And as a photographer its always appreciated.

Its such a good vibe on both sides of the stage. On one hand you have people experiencing one day... one moment in time. On the other you have people that live this kind of life day to day. Both I enjoy, but I prefer the ladder.

I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to do what I love and share it with others. The whole year before I had been anticiapateing spending my day at the Sonic Boom Music Festival. To be able to combine my two favorite passions like this, I felt natural.

Out of over 4000 images these are just a few that spoke to me. I look forward to JJO Sonic Boom 2019. I welcome all of the new knowledge and experiences that are to come, at concerts with cameras.
